Marcel Léger
Background
Mr. Léger was born and raised in Sudbury. Since graduating from the faculty of law at l’Université de Moncton, in New Brunswick, his parents’ native province, he has practiced privately in the Sudbury area. His practice primarily involve matters regarding Torts, Insurance Law, Estates, Construction Law and Family Litigation.

Professional and Community Involvement
Mr. Léger has appeared before all levels of courts in Ontario and numerous administrative tribunals. He has conducted hearings, trials and appeals in both the English and French languages. Mr. Léger has also acted as agent for the Federal Department of Justice and the Ministry of the Attorney General for the Province of Ontario and British Columbia. In 2003, Mr. Léger was appointed legal panel member of the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal for a three year term. In this capacity, he directed a three member administrative tribunal which heard over 200 appeals throughout Canada. Mr. Léger’s mandate also required him to draft the Review Tribunal’s decisions in the French and English languages. |
