Background
As a lifelong Sudburian, Josée Forest-Niesing is currently partner at Lacroix Forest LLP/s.r.l. After graduating from Laurentian University, Josée attended l’Université d’Ottawa to study law in the french language. Josée’s primary areas of practice include Family Law, Civil Litigation and Education Law. Josée was also licenced by the Ministry to complete private adoptions and she is a Deputy Small Claims Court Judge.

Professional and Community Involvement
Josée actively participates and contributes on a number of community boards, and professional organizations. Josée is currently a member of the Board of Regents of l’Université de Sudbury and the Vice-President of the Fédération des Associations de Juristes d’Expression Française de Common Law. She has served as President of l’Association des Juristes d’Expression Française de l’Ontario and was an elected member of Council of the Ontario Bar Association for over ten years. As a member of the Sudbury and District Law Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada, Josée was also a part-time professor of various legal courses at Cambrian College and Collège Boréal. |
