Background
André Lacroix has practiced law in Northern Ontario for over fifty years.  Mr. Lacroix was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1980 and is a lifetime member of the Law Society of Upper of Canada.  His areas of practice include Municipal Law, Corporate & Business Law, Administrative Law, Trusts & Estates and Real Estate. In 1993, as partner and co-founder of Lacroix Forest LLP/s.r.l., Mr. Lacroix received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Laurentian University.

Professional and Community Involvement
Mr. Lacroix is an active participant in the business sector of Northern Ontario and is well known for his involvement in community and professional organizations throughout the region.  Mr. Lacroix serves on the Board of Directors of the Fondation Baxter & Alma Ricard Foundation, which awards scholarships to graduate students across Canada.  He is a past chair of the Laurentian University Board of Governors from 1978 to 1981 and is currently Chancellor of the University of Sudbury, a member of the Laurentian University federation.  He has also served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at Science North.
